Savia Bruta Flower School

Frequently asked questions

Everything people usually ask us about the Floral Design Program, the EMFD, the master classes and the workshops at our school in Madrid.

Do I need experience to study at Savia Bruta?

It depends on the course. The Floral Design Program and the beginner workshops start from scratch. The EMFD and the master classes are for florists who already have experience.

What is the difference between the Program and the EMFD?

They are two different courses. The Program is for beginners: you learn the craft from scratch in 95 in-person hours. The EMFD (European Master in Floral Design) is a 4-day master for professional florists, with a diploma recognised across Europe.

How long is the Program and what formats are there?

It is 95 in-person hours in Madrid, as a 2-week intensive, Monday to Friday. There are two editions a year: March and July.

How do I book a place?

The Program is booked with a €600 registration fee and the master classes with €300. The rest is paid one week before the course starts.

What are the course hours?

Courses and master classes run from 11:00 to 20:00, with an hour and a half for lunch out at nearby restaurants. Beginner workshops and special courses have their own schedule.

Do I need to bring flowers or materials?

No. The school provides the flowers and all the materials. You just need comfortable clothes to work in.

What language are the classes in?

In Spanish. They can be taught in English only if arranged in advance.

How many people are there per course?

Places are very limited: between 9 and 10 per edition in the Program and the master classes. Workshops take 10 people per session.

I'm coming from outside Spain. Can you help with my visa?

We give you an enrolment certificate with your name and passport number as a supporting document. If your country requires it for the visa, we also issue an invitation letter once the registration fee has been paid.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes, when you finish the course. The EMFD is recognised across Europe.

Are photos taken of the work?

Yes. During the courses, studio photos are taken of most of the work.

Are there online courses?

Yes. El Club is a subscription with the school's full video library and two new classes a month with Alex Molina, from €15 a month. It opens on 27 November 2026.

Do you run courses outside Spain?

Yes. Alex Molina teaches courses and master classes in other countries: Buenos Aires (April 2027), Panama (June 2027) and The Xperience retreat. Editions have already been held in Mexico, Colombia, Taiwan and Italy.

Where is the school?

At Calle de Villanueva 23, 28001 Madrid, right opposite the Hotel Wellington. We are open Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 18:00.
